It refers to
the angle created by the ramus and body of the mandible
·
These are the
types of fractures occurring at the angle of the mandible
CLASSIFICATION

Vertically
favourable (or) un favourable

Horizontally
favourable(or) un favourable
ETIOLOGY
·
They are most
common due to trauma
·
As 3 rd molar
is present it makes the bone easier to fracture
·
It also oc curs
due to osteonecrosis or tumor in the bone

Pain and soft

Swelling
·
Posterior gag
·
Dearranged
occlusion,step deformity of the last molar tooth
·
Heamatoma and
paresthesia of the lower lip
